Art Psychotherapy.

Art therapy is for everyone. You don't have to be good at art.

Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses artistic expression, alongside a trained therapist, to help explore your emotions.
This means we can help people who may find talking difficult, whether you are non-verbal or just struggle to find the right words.

Art Psychotherapy is a creative person-centred holistic treatment, suitable for people of all ages and abilities.
What is Art Therapy?
During sessions, you are supported by a registered professional to use art to express and articulate complex thoughts and feelings through the making of art, images, sculptures and through play. Art psychotherapy is particularly helpful when approaching difficult or traumatic experiences, which may be hard to talk about. Art therapy is a versatile and inclusive treatment, suitable for people of all ages and abilities.
The National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines recommend the use of creative therapies in the management of several conditions including Autism, Eating disorders, Psychosis, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Cancer, PTSD and those experiencing communication difficulties, self-harm or palliative care. The non-verbal elements of art therapy offer a viable treatment alternative for non-verbal individuals, where traditional talking therapies may have failed.

BENEFITS:
